Singer Ray G could have joined a long list of musicians that have attracted water bottles to themselves for quite a while like unlike poles not for drinking but rather as “a go away” by most fans.
This latest advance was experienced yesterday when angry fans pelted numerous bottles to the Manvuli singer at the end of year celebrations at the Enkuuka in Lubiri.
The 31-year-old singer who hails from the beautiful western part of Uganda of recent came to limelight with a controversy of trying hard to block musicians from other parts of the country perform in western and most notably the Slow dance and repeat it songstress Priscilla Zawedde aka Azawi. This action seems not to have gone well with most fans and clear revenge was evidenced as fans threw bottles at him until his performance was short lived as he exited the stage.
Ray G original names Reagan Muhairwe is one of those mushrooming Ugandan hitmaker who started singing in 2004 untill 2014 when his luck reached the peak with breakthrough “Amarari” hit. He manjorly sings in Runyakole and has managed to put his reputation to big stages featuring big Ugandan musical heavy weights such as Spice Diana etc. He is loved for his charming vocal and lyrical masterio.
Among those who have been in the “bottle pelting” lane for quite a while includes Big Eye, Ronald Mayinja, Tiktoker Omukunja etc.
Further chaos escalated when Sheebah Karungi stepped on stage with ugly scenes of royal rumble fight on stage until when the Muwomya singer left stage.
As the above were happening in Lubiri Mengo, Alien Skins Enkwacho festival was vybing high in Wankulukuku with non-stop performances from top notch Uganda musicians such as Kapa Cat, Big Size Bebe Cool, Ykee Benda etc.
No big ugly scenes were recorded nationwide regarding this new year celebrations.
