He also expanded the five phases of Uganda’s Economy since independence from mini-economic recovery, expanding small scale existing economies i.e tobacco,tea, tourism, coffee, and cotton, diversification of Economy i.e cassava, milk, bananas, maize e.t.c., value addition to existing and new products, and lastly knowledge Economy which includes technology and human capital. The President praise the increased economic growth from the 1990’s leading Uganda to middle economic income earning state.
Education for all through UPE and Prosperity for all through soft loans, NAADS, PDM, Office Wealth Creation, Youth Fund are some of financial strategies to increase household incomes to promote economic growth.

Museveni suggested amnesty for some of corruption public servants especially in Ministry of Finance clarifying two categories of theft being mistakes and dishonesty. Several corruption allegations especially esteemed Ministers including the Rt.Hon. Speaker Anita Among has been making headlines though Ugandans are worried no solutions will be rendered as the President has never taken the action most want to see which is accountability and recovery of state assets.
Free Trade Area through East African Community, Africa much needed for the surplus production of goods and services especially sugar, cement, milk, tea, steel e.t.c. However, one would wonder if these commodities have surplus production, why are the prices still high?
