Makerere University Business School has once again stepped a notch higher in the educational sector in the Subsahara region with another course recognised by ACCA, a global accountant’s body.
This was announced on it’s officail social media handles “Accreditation of Bachelor of Commerce-Accounting Option by ACCA.MUBS is proud to report that the Bachelor of Commerce has been accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a global body of professional accountants.

The accreditation is for 5- years starting 2023 to 2027. ACCA also made an assessment of the programme and made eligibility for exemption of eight out of nine examination papers.

This decision means that ACCA highly regards the quality of the curriculum, training and examination of Bachelor of Commerce and that students of Bachelor of Commerce- Accounting option will attempt only 5 examination papers to attain a full ACCA qualification.
