Most Ugandans prefer eating over cooking, actually statistics show that majority of Ugandan Urban dwellers would rather “take away” fries that putting that old sooth smoked pot on fire!
A 27 year old Hilda Baci has set the bar high for several chefs after she broke the world record for the longest cooking ever witnessed alongside her assistant chef Mr. Sunny Boadu.
With over 100 dishes on her usage, Baci switched on her cooker at 15:00 GMT (4pm Nigerian Time) on on a beautiful Thursday and ran it a marathon until a 100th hour non-stop.
Several politicians and celebrities flocked to the place and cheered her as she mixed several recipes into mouthwatering delicacies.
The previous record was 87 hours and 45 minutes set in Rewa, central India in about 4 years ago by Indian chef Lata Tondon.
The Akwa-Ibom-born chef initially has set her target at 96 hours however with the overwhelming cheers, she went 4 more hours behind the pans.
Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwoolu, and Senate president hopeful, Godswill Akpabio are among some of the dignitaries who cheered her to this world record.
