Fans of Yemi Alade, Adekunkle Gold can’t wait to watch Jay-Z’s film “The Book of Clearance” which premiered 12 January and to be in Nigeria’s cinemas in April 12, 2024. Both musicians featured in the soundtrack of the film, with Mr. Gold collaborating with American rappers Doja Cat and Kodak Black on the track “Jeezu” and Yemi on the track “sacred” alongside Jeymes Samuel. The sound track was released on December 12, 2023, available on Spotify.
The Book of clearance is a biblical comedy drama that tells the story of a young man living in 33A.D, who struggles to find a better life until he crosses path with the powers of the rising Messiah.
The film which is produced by Samuel, Jay-Z, James Lassiter and Tendo Nagenda features Nigeria’s award winning actor David Oyelowo as a cast, Teyana Taylor as well as guest appearances from the international music superstars, Jay-z, Lil Wayne, Kid Kudi and Buju Banton.
The film is currently showing at Cinemas in the United States following its debut on 12th January 2024 and will be available nationwide from 12th April 2024.
