The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) yesterday 30th March marked sixty years of existence and extension of support to various government projects in Uganda in a formal ceremony held at Sheraton Hotel in Kampala. The US Mission country director Richard Nelson and US ambassador to Uganda Natalie Brown stated clearly that US government is committed to supporting more projects including ending HIV/AIDS in 2030. Though much is yet to be done, Mr. Richard believes with more support, alot can be done towards acquiring the cure.
Uganda has benefited from USAID in several funded projects from health care, Education, trade, investment and many others that has brought about tremendous economic growth and development categorically, though many are worried of the supposed continued support should President Museveni sign the anti-homosexuality Bill 2023 into Law.
