The long-debated football controversy of football’s Greatest of All Times commonly referred to as the GOAT could have come tail. This follows yesterday’s game between the two football geniuses, the Portuguese playmaker Cristiano Ronaldo up against the Argentina’s world Cup winner Lionel Messi with each of them getting their ways behind the nets!
It all started in the third minute when Leo Messi bagged the first of nine goals in a massively entertaining affair in Riyadh that at times was anything, but friendly & exhibition game played at King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh. Thousands of fans thronged the stadium including prominent business moguls and Bollywood actors like the 81-year-old Amitabh Bachchan.
Riyadh All-Stars team made up of players from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal all combined against the French football monarch in a thrilling 9 goal match with Messi, Marquinhos, Ramos, Mbappe & Ekitike scoring for PSG as Ronaldo’s brace, Jang & Talisca scored for Riyadh XI.
Ronaldo completed a memorable debut against his old adversary, with two goals, and looks set to have a prolific career ahead with Al Nassr once he makes his Saudi Pro League debut this coming Sunday against Ettifaq.
Later on, PSG’s Juan Bernat got himself red carded. Although the matchup was a friendly between Paris Saint-Germain and Riyadh XI, it could not not stop the referee from handing out a red card.
Meanwhile back home, not really Uganda but to premier league, Tottenham suffered another 4.2 defeat to Manchester City just after Arsenal’s 2:0 defeat placing Antonio Conte’s boys on the 5th place with 33 points behind Newcastle who is ahead of them with 5 points.
The table chase intestified even further with Arsenal still leading with 47 pts, closely followed by the two Manchesters with 42 & 39 points respectively. Can Arsenal beat the odd to grab the trophy this season? Comment below as Mikel Arteta’s soldiers battle it out with Erik Ten Hag’s United in a game that the Brazilian mid field general Casemiro will miss having been booked in Wednesday’s 1:1 draw to Crystal Palace.
