Over the years fashion wasn’t too much into Ugandan limelight until few individuals such as Brian Ahumuza, a typical son of business woman decided to think outside the box and flavor Uganda,s fashion industry.
This year,s annual Abrynz Style & Fashion Award (ASFA) left the entire globe dumbfounded as several international acts from across Africa and the entire world jetted in to grace the Serena Venued Fashion show. Among the top Ugandan fashion genius who came back for the show included Uganda’s US based 30-year-old Amito Stacie Lagum the winner of the first cycle of Africa Top Model who doubles as an actress who featured on top Hollywood award winning films including that of Edris Elba. Patricia Akello and several former Miss Uganda’s winners.
With the theme of “The Awakening” ASFA 2022 was to acknowledge and to celebrate African Fashion stakeholders on Africa’s biggest red carpet in the land.
Accessibility was at 200k, 5.5m and 350k for standard, VIP table and front raw seat respectively as revelers were being guided by the night’s MCs Sheila Gashuma alongside her companion who seemed to have mastered their roles to the dot.
Several act perfomanaces graced the event including the dancing mistress Pia Pound, Grendate etc . Other big shots were NTV’s elegant News Anchor Sandra Twinoburyo, the Wuyo work out man Apass, Betinah, Kateleya & Kanle, Baby Gloria etc.
Among the winners were Sherne Natukunda who bagged Female Fashionista of the Year, Ghananian Zulky took Make up of the Year, Teddy Ondoella as emerging designer menswear etc.
