Uganda’s “Old Man with a hut” as mostly known, President Museveni, fired his son as Commander of Uganda’s Land Forces after he consistently tweeted provocative messages in what looked like a threat to capture the capital of neighbouring Kenya, drawing widespread concern in Uganda and the entire region with many claiming such information could derail Uganda’s bilateral relationship with Kenya

Having been dropped as Commander of Uganda’s Land Forces and has been subsequently promoted to a full rank general, most Uganda’s political oppositions have backlashed the country’s president for fast declaring his son as the next successor with possibility in the next election in 2026.
Muhoozi has been replaced by Major General Kayanja Muhanga, who has been spearheading the ongoing operation Shujaa in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo against Allied Democratic Forces with a promotion also to a Lieutenant General rank.
