After reigning for 70 years as the longest reigning British Monarch, late Queen Elizabeth ll is laid to rest. The Queen passed on several days ago on 8th September at 96 years at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, months after the death of her late husband Prince Phillip. She will be buried alongside her husband at King George VI Memorial Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Thousands travelled to London and Windsor for the State Funeral and burial service at St. George’s Chapel. Millions watched the televised Royal burial around the World. Not less than 500 foreign dignitaries including but not limited to politicians, civil servants and some celebrities were invited.
Nearly 200 countries are represented including former British colonies.
The late Queen Elizabeth ll has been mourned in Former Colonies as the Head of CommonWealth. Many have eulogised her and described her leadership as one that will dearly be missed.
