After historic campaign, former President and Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump re-elected as USA President for a second term starting January 2025. Though the results of the election is not yet declared by law, Trump is the President-elect beating former Vice President and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris with more than 295 electoral votes and 72 million plus votes. Kamala Harris on Wednesday conceded the race with a congratulatory message at Howard University promising a peaceful transfer of power. Also President Joe Biden called Trump congratulating him upon his victory and promised peaceful transition in the next two months something which Trump couldn’t do when he lost against him in 2020.
It’s notable that the seven prominent swing States of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin play a role in Trump’s victory as he won several of them. Though the race was a tight one, voters focused more on the economy hoping inflation would go down other than other issues like Abortion rights, gun rights, climate change etc.
Several Presidents and prominent figures such as Israel’s PM Netanyahu, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, SpaceX founder Elon Musk congratulated Trump calling him to fulfil his pledges of making Ameican great again. Other celebrities like Rogan, 50 Cent Jake Paul, Kim Kardashian, Mel Gibson also openly showed their support either by performing in campaigns or open call for support.
What will Trump do in the first 100 days in office is a question many are asking as the State prepares for inauguration in January.
