Yesterday, Wednesday September 6th, fans of Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner were left with their jaws hanging when the couple posted an identical statement on their Instagram accounts expressing their decision to end their marriage. The statement read, “After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but truly, this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
The couple shares two daughters, Willa and another whose name hasn’t been made public, and according to sources, Joe Jonas hopes to get full custody of them.
There are several narratives as to why the couple could have decided to divorce. Some say it’s because both of them have different life styles with Sophie being a party animal and Joe being a stay-at-home man. Others say that a source close to the couple revealed that Joe Jonas found a camera recording in which Sophie said something that made him realize that their marriage is over.
Whatever the reason is, the couple hopes that their fans respect their privacy and continue supporting Joe who is currently on tour with his brothers in the US.
