Dubbed Clap for Jesus, congregants of Phaneroo ministries challenged themselves to have the longest applause ever made nonstop to break the record.
The current record standing for 2hrs 5 minutes by Steve Clark in 2019, today hundreds of believers thronged UMA Multipurpose Hall Lugogo and executed a 3hr & 5 minutes nonstop handclaps.
According to Apostle Grace Lubega, the lead pastor of Phaneroo, this was done not only to break world record but rather to give thanks to the Lord for having brought them this far in acknowledgement of countless blessings, peace, shelter, comfort amongst other achievements.
Regardless of age or social statuses, the applause kept going within Lugogo UMA hall amidst excitement within, outside and in different regional branches who had kept glued to Manifest Tv in anticipation of the challenge.
Participation had guidelines as the world records body requires such as: All participants must be applauding at the same time, the clapping must be confined to the hands only, No musical instruments or mechanical aid required, vocal noises including but not limited to ululation, stomping, whistling are permitted, a loud trumpet to sound to signal official start, phones to be in airplane mode or silence, no bathroom breaks allowed, participant in need of water claps their hands above their head etc.
