The Long-awaited “Threads App” application from Facebook company Meta has been launched today Thursday to rival Elon Musk’s Twitter.
Campusa has learnt that over 30 million people joined this new social app in few hours on it’s first day!
This new app allows users to post up to 500 characters unlike the 280 characters for twitter in addition to many features similar to Twitter’s.
Meta owner Zuckerberg said they intend to keep the platform friendly and will ultimately be the key to its success for all social communications.
Commenting on Threads app Twitter owner stated “Twitter has had the opportunity to do this but hasn’t nailed it. Hopefully we will.”
Whereas Mark claims “It’ll take some time, but I think there should be a public conversations app with 1 billion+ people on it and that is what we are moving for.”
Threads has received a good welcome from the public ahead of the anticipated fight between Twitter owner and Facebook owner Musk and Mark respectively.
Twitter bost of 450 million users globally where as facebook has over 3 billion users.
Few Campusers are already navigating this new application just like how many did during covid and 2021 elections period when internet was switched off.
