Judiciary has come out and refuted widespread allegations pertaining the health of Uganda’s Chief Justice Owiny -Dollo’s health.
Thursday morning several media prints were flooded with stories and speculations regarding the 67 year old health status reporting that he was “critically ill” and evacuated to specialized hospital abroad for better management.
This has subsequently left many Ugandan’s worried of justice’s health given the fact that many people always flown abroad but do not take long to leave citizens weeping afterwards.
He was last seen in a public event while officiating at the launch of Mukono High Court on early last month.
The third arm of Government, the Judiciary which is the system of courts that adjudicates legal disputes/disagreements and interprets, defends, and applies the law in legal cases has taken no time to clarify of the boss’s health status saying Justice Owiny Dollo is not Critically ill as some media have reported.
It’s further clarified that whereas it’s noted he is out of the country and receiving some medication, it is rather not true that he is critically ill.
Justice Alfonse Chigamoy Owiny-Dollo a known, eloquent Ugandan lawyer and judge who has been the Chief Justice of Uganda since August 2020. He has served in several capacities and positions such as the Acting Chief Justice of Uganda from 22 June 2020 and was a deputy Chief Justice before that early in 2017.
