UK Prime Minister Elizabeth Truss resigned just 45 days in office making her the shortest serving premier in UK history. In her delivery speech she said ‘ I recognise though given the situation I cannot deliver the mandate on which I was elected by the Conservative Party’. The mother of two made her resignation questionable on ineffectiveness to serve though the reason behind not clear.
Yet again UK goes to the polls scheduled 28th October to vote a new Prime Minister. Nominations are ongoing and closing on Monday with candidates expected to have minimum of 100 Nominations to proceed to the ballot.
Liz Truss had just succeeded Boris Johnson who resigned too amidst UK’s economic crisis. Sources say Boris Johnson may stand again including Senior MP Rishi Sunak, Kemi Badenoch and Stella Braverman. Expectations and speculations are high on who the Conservative Party will back up on 28th October.
