Holiness is putting off ourselves and putting on the new self in christ Jesus. 1 John 5:4- living a life of an overcomer; An overcomer doesn’t look at circumstances around them but live a focused life. Psalms 51:10-12- having a clean heart and the right spirit to live in God all the time. When you live a righteous life, fear becomes your enemy. Most times we live in fear because we are living in sin. In righteousness, the spirit of God draws strength to you.
Intimacy with God. Psalms 15:1-5- there’s a direct experience between a holy life and God’s presence. There’s divine ministration around you, everything moves with easy. You are synchronised in Christ.
Stability and Spiritual Strength. In every situation, you are strong, poised and courageous because the Christ in you reminds you of who you are.
Usefulness and effectiveness in God’s purpose. 1Tim2:20-26 unless you live in holiness, you will not live a useful life. Usefulness in this case is reference to living in purpose.
To live to please God in all things. Gal 1:10. Most of us haven’t discovered who we are…but once you discover who you are, you will walk with Christ Jesus. We yearn to please the world because we don’t know our purpose and position in the Lord. He that is in you, is greater than that which is in the world.
Holiness brings forth God’s love to flow from you to others. 1 John 2: 11. You find it easy to love people regardless of who they are and what they have done to you or others.
Divine Protection Job 1:8-10- there was divine protection around Job. God put a hedge of protection around Job despite all, he was protected.
Benefits of holiness are exceedingly abundant, the moment you make a choice to live in righteousness, your live is renewed exceptionally. People around you will give you a new name because you are indeed new.
Holiness doesn’t come easy, it’s continuous piece of work. Pray always, read the word of God, fast with a mind to be cleaned through repentance in personal retreat, separate yourself from the wonders of the world, don’t compromise God’s standards of holiness within and out, tame your tongue, live in Obedience to God. Meditate on the word, and make it your friend. Children of God, holiness is a decision, no body will force you to be righteous.
