Following a series of events around the health and death of former Speaker Jocob Oulanyah, the Chief Justice who was a close friend to the late was forced to stand with him as he tried tk explain the need for state intervention in his health, which led him to make unwelcomed remarks.
Alfonse owiny Dollo, in his attempt to support government intervention reference His Majesty the Kabaka of Buganda. Claiming just like Oulanyah he was also airlifted to Germany for treatment therefore it wasn’t uncalled demonstration in the Diaspora against the Speaker.
However, with many concerns from Parliament and public, Alfonse Owiny Dollo apologised publicly and retracted his statements.
I think it is the week for apologies and New beginning especially with new Speaker elected and the state burial of Oulanyah around the corner. It’s good to bury the hatchet.
