A number of students held a demonstration last week over non-inclusion of their names on the graduation list. The students were furious with the administration, claiming that the administration was lazy and disorganized. At the Ivory Tower, the Administration claimed that the said names of students were not uploaded onto the system on time which could have been due to the Fact that the said students had not cleared with all necessary authorities. However, the Students claimed that even those that had already cleared are missing on the list. The 67th Makerere University graduation is set to be held tomorrow 21st February to the 24th. Minister for student affairs, Mr. Karamagi William says students have been very restless and dissatisfied with the on goings. He consequently lived up to the promise he made to lead a demonstration which he did last week which led to his arrest later that day. The guild president, Mr. Roy Ssemboga issued a statement to his disgruntled fellow Students saying that the Guild was deeply disturbed by the action of the administration and he promised to setup what he called the Crisis Management Committee which would deal with minimizing the effects of crises like this one.
