A chart with MUBS former guild president after Grad and MUBS Grad at MAK’S 67th Graduation ceremony


The 67thg raduation ceremony of Makerere University kicked off in high gear yesterday, 21st February at the Freedom Square at around 9a.m. The ceremony was graced by H.E the Prime Minister of Uganda, Hon. Ruhakana Rugunda, the Chancellor of Makerere University, Mr. Ezra Suruma and the Vice Chancellor, Mr. Ddumba Ssentamu among others.
In his speech, Mr. Ruhakana Rugunda promised that salaries of employees of public universities will soon be increased.
Mr. Ezra Suruma congratulated the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology graduands, together with the Agriculture and Environment Sciences graduands, on the invention of the solar water pump which he said would be a real benefit to the nation once launched. It was also graduation day for College of Natural Sciences and College of Education and External Studies. The graduation week will go on up to Friday the 24th, when the graduands of School of Law and College of Humanities and Social Science will be awarded degrees. Today, Wednesday 22nd, the College of Business And Management Sciences (CoBAMS), College of Computer and Information Sciences (CoCIS) and College of Veterinary (CoVAB) will be awarded their degrees. Thursday the 23rd, will be reserved for Makerere University Business School (MUBS) graduands.
A total of 14,895 graduands will be awarded Bachelor’s degrees in the course of the week and 75 will be awarded PhDs.
It is believed that even some of the angry students who held a strike on Friday last week, due to non-inclusion on the graduation list, have also graduated and others awaiting havingbeenrectifiedbytheAdministration.Goodluckgraduates!
